It wants to create a new, modern personnel law that can also take sector-specific characteristics into account. The collective agreement currently covers all employees in the canton – it applies to administration, schools, hospitals, and cantonal businesses. This model, which is unique to the canton of Solothurn, is increasingly reaching its limits, said the Finance Minister.
