Spain - Negotiations on redundancy plan at telecom company - December 31, 2025
Telecom company Telefónica has taken a significant step forward in negotiations for the workforce reduction plan (ERE) it aims to finalize before the end of the year. Unions announced that, following the fifth meeting, the company proposed reducing the number of affected employees by 440 across the three main companies included in the collective dismissal, all covered by the Collective Agreement for Related Companies (CEV). This reduction means lowering the number of job losses in these three companies to 4,600, from the 5,040 initially proposed, representing a decrease of almost 9%.
