As stated by the Confederation of Trade Unions of the Slovak Republic (KOZ SR), if the employers do not reconsider its position, the situation may escalate to a strike. After eight rounds of negotiations on the company collective agreement for the years 2025-2027, the employers still refuse to agree to fair conditions for its employees, according to the union. Key issues remain controversial – a decent increase in basic wages, fair risk bonuses, better conditions in personal accounts, and other benefits that have a fundamental impact on the lives of workers.
