The reason is the planned closure of the factory and the mass layoffs of more than 640 employees. The Integrated Trade Union is demanding additional severance pay of € 3,000 for each employee above and beyond the collective agreement. According to the union, the company provides employees only the legal minimum – specifically, severance pay in the amount of eight salaries.
