Union representatives explained that the average monthly wage in the sector is around 76,000 dinars (about €650) and that more than 4,000 workers – around 40% of the total – will soon fall below the minimum wage level. Many of those affected hold vocational or university degrees and perform key roles in museums, theatres, and libraries.
