The protest was organized by the National Trade Union Bloc, a coalition of professional unions, which took to the streets to voice discontent over the Government’s plan to raise taxes, cut thousands of public sector jobs, and freeze pensions. The Government has announced plans to cut around 10% of administrative jobs.
