Portugal - Revised collective agreements for restaurants and hotels - December 31, 2025
The food and hospitality sectors have signed the revised collective agreements for 2026 with the Union of Workers in the Services Sector (SITESE), providing for an average salary increase of around 5%. According to AHRESP – the Portuguese Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Similar Establishments – the new contracts foresee, among other changes, the updating of the salary scales for all professional categories, effective from 1 January 2026. The Portuguese Hotel Association (AHP) also announced that it had reached an agreement with SITESE for the comprehensive revision of the collective agreement, which provides for an increase of more than 5% for the year 2026.
