Norway - Changes in the main agreement - November 30, 2025
Union confederation LO and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise NHO have agreed on changes to the main agreement (‘hovedavtalen’) for the period 2025 - 2029, which make it clear that employees and employers will also work together on restructuring when it comes to innovation, the environment and climate. Climate change is real and will have an impact on companies and working life. Employees must then be ensured influence on the innovation and restructuring work in the workplace, says LO. The main agreement regulates cooperation in working life, ensures employees’ right to co-determination and regulates how the parties should negotiate and cooperate.
