Netherlands - Union seeks new board - December 31, 2025
The largest union, FNV, seeks a new board after the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court granted a broader mandate to the interim supervisors of the union. The supervisors were appointed in June 2025 by the court to seek a solution for the internal crisis in the union. A proposal by the interim supervisors to abolish the members’ parliament of the union was rejected by a small majority of the parliament. Nevertheless, the Enterprise Chamber has granted the supervisors permission to go ahead with their plan. They will appoint a new board for which they are now seeking candidates.
