Netherlands - New agreement for metal and electrical industry - December 31, 2025
After an intensive and sometimes taxing period of negotiations, unions FNV and CNV reached an agreement with the employers’ association FME in the metal and electrical industry. Effective 1 January 2026, there will be a structural pay increase, consisting of percentage and absolute increases. Based on an average salary in the sector (€ 4,300 gross), this amounts to 3%. The increase consists of 2% plus € 43 structurally. As of 1 November 2026, employees will receive a one-off payment of € 100 net. The new collective agreement is valid from 1 January to 31 December 2026.
