Luxembourg - Unions criticize labour minister - November 30, 2025
The two main trade union federations, OGBL and LCGB, have accused the Labour Minister of undermining social dialogue and being “unfit” for his post, according to a letter sent to the Prime Minister. In the four-page letter dated 9 October, the presidents of OGBL and LCGB wrote that relations with the minister “have broken down”. They also criticised what they called the lack of a coherent approach at last year’s four meetings of the labour committee, saying the minister limited himself to noting the views of the social partners without presenting a Government position or supporting documentation.
