Currently, the country has no law governing on-call services, and pharmacies receive a fixed allowance of € 230 for a 24-hour shift. Some pharmacies don’t even make €500 in turnover, including VAT, on a 24-hour Sunday shift, according to the Luxembourg Pharmacists’ Union (SPL).
