Italy - Metalworkers’ agreement accepted by union assembly - December 31, 2025
Unions FIM‑CISL, FIOM‑CGIL and UILM reported that a national delegates’ assembly endorsed the draft renewal of the metalworkers’ national collective agreement, following the signature of a preliminary ‘ipotesi di contratto’ on 22 November. A contract reached after 17 months of negotiations and struggles, the likes of which had not been seen in over 20 years, with 40 hours of strikes and demonstrations to secure its renewal.
