The initiative aims to enhance patient access to services by extending opening hours, while ensuring staff protections are underpinned by a structured implementation plan in line with public service agreement commitments. Unions secured key protections for members as part of the agreement, which will see healthcare services operating over extended hours in a managed and sustainable way.
