The deal provides a framework for extended opening hours while safeguarding staffing levels, fair compensation, and adherence to existing workplace protections. The agreement, described by SIPTU union as “balanced and sustainable,” addresses concerns about working conditions by including governance and oversight measures, as well as detailed implementation plans at local level.
