Hungary - Strike alert in health care - November 30, 2025
FESZ union announced that healthcare professionals are in “strike readiness” after submitting wage-increase demands of 13% for 2025. The union said that although it had presented the proposal in September, the Government still has not given a decisive response. The move signals growing pressure in the public-health sector, which is facing severe staff shortages. If negotiations stall, action may be taken before the end of the year to force concessions from the employer side.
