Germany - 9% more pay for hospital staff - December 31, 2025
The ver.di union and Spremberg Hospital Corporation reached a collective agreement on 12 December, during the third round of negotiations. This agreement applies to approximately 300 hospital employees as well as the staff of the hospital's daycare center. Wages will increase in two stages by a total of 9%, effective 1 January 2026. The parties to the agreement have agreed on a period for revocation, meaning the agreement can be withdrawn until 15 January 2026. According to the agreement, wages will increase by 4% on 1 January 2026, with a minimum increase of € 120. A further increase of 5% will follow on 1 January 2027.
