The union denounces the continued closure of hospital beds, wards and entire services, which it says is worsening access to care and leaving emergency departments operating in degraded conditions. It demands the reopening of these facilities and a stronger network of local public hospitals, psychiatric and paediatric mental-health units, and public health centres focused on prevention and primary care.
