The ruling confirms that standby time counted by rescue workers is to be treated as working time. The case has been ongoing for years, with an interim ruling in 2023 already clarifying that all standby time at the North Savo Rescue Department constituted working time. In December 2023, compensation for the years 2017–2019 was confirmed.
