Minimum wages increased substantially in 2025 in most EU countries. In most cases, these increases exceeded inflation, resulting in gains in purchasing power among minimum wage earners. Minimum wages have continued to rise in many countries over the past two decades, resulting in structural improvements in national minimum wage levels relative to average and median wages.
