Reskilling and upskilling should be prioritised as much as possible before job cuts are considered, and gender equality should be made an integral part of transition strategies, the Committee says. It emphasises the importance of involving social partners, social dialogue and collective bargaining to ensure that the EU’s industrial policy delivers quality jobs.
