Denmark - Government wants to raise salaries for soldiers - December 31, 2025
The Government will spend 250 million kroner (€ 33.5 million) on higher salaries for soldiers. But it will not come up with extra money. The 250 million kroner will be taken from the total budget for all state employees, so there will be correspondingly less for other state employees. Distributed across all military employees, this will correspond to a salary increase of around 1,000 kroner (€ 134) per month over the three years that the next collective bargaining agreement is expected to cover. That amount is far from enough, according to the officers' union, HOD.
