While the survey data shows that real wages are rising in the country, almost 50% of employees still live pay cheque to pay cheque, according to the survey, which polled 1,500 workers and 269 employers. The differences in what employers claim and what employees perceive may be caused by the poor communication of companies towards their people. The survey found that 57% of white-collar workers were more likely to have received a pay rise over the past year, compared to 49% of blue-collar employees.
