Cyprus - Extension of collective bargaining requirement for public contracts - November 30, 2025
The labour minister announced plans to extend the obligation for companies bidding for Government contracts to comply with collective agreements from the construction sector to all sectors servicing public tenders. This aims to strengthen wage standards in public procurement. The minister also said the goal was to complete an action plan for extending collective bargaining by the first quarter of 2026, as required by the relevant EU directive, and submit the framework report to the Commission.
