Croatia - Unions oppose governmental pay proposal - November 30, 2025
Major public-sector unions continue to oppose the Government’s revised 2026 salary‑base proposal. Union negotiators argue that the proposed increase fails to offset rising inflation and does not reflect growing workload pressures in healthcare, education and administration. Unions organised nationwide workplace assemblies to update members on the talks. Government representatives insisted that fiscal limitations required a cautious approach, but unions warn that without substantial improvement, industrial action could follow.
