The Union of Medical Specialists demands that the basic gross salary of young and trainee doctors should be linked to the minimum wage and be 3.5 times the minimum wage (BGN 1,077 or € 551). The two major trade union confederations warned that they would take industrial action unless the Health Minister convenes in early June a council to start negotiations on a new collective agreement.
