Austria - New agreement for Christian hospitals - December 31, 2025

On 3 December 2025, the third round of negotiations for the employees of Carinthia's Christian Hospitals was concluded. After tough talks, the Carinthian Medical Association and the trade union vida reached an agreement despite the tense socio-political situation. From 1 January 2026, wages and salaries will increase by 3%, and the care bonus will also continue to be paid. The paid lunch break will continue – a key contribution to the health and recovery of employees.
