A new survey conducted by the Mediation Institute shows, that coverage is highest in vocational training occupations and lowest among academics. Through a new method of collecting information on collective agreements in the context of the annual wage survey, the Mediation Institute has for the first time been able to present statistics regarding how many people are covered by collective agreements. The message is that nine out of ten in Sweden are employed in a workplace with a collective agreement. While in the private sector, coverage is highest and almost complete in manufacturing and transport, in academic professions, the percentage of those covered by a collective agreement is significantly lower with just over 60 percent.
