A total of 57% of firms raised wages between January and April, and nearly half plan to raise wages further by the end of the year. 24% of those who maintain their wages consider future increases. The Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported that the average gross salary in the private sector was 8,271.99 zloty (€ 1,918) in April, an 11.3% increase from the previous year. Construction companies saw the highest rise at 17.1%. Medium and large companies are more likely to implement raises, with 64% and 62% respectively, compared to 51% of micro-enterprises.
