The agreement covers workers in social services, housing and care sectors, and asylum reception centres. The strike, led by unions Fagforbundet and Delta, secured a general wage increase with the increase retroactively effective from 1 August 2024. Minimum wage rates will also rise significantly for workers in housing and care services, child protection, mental health. A key priority in the negotiations was ensuring that businesses operating within housing and care services for exposed and vulnerable groups move toward achieving wage parity with others in the industry.
