Netherlands - 5% extra pay for distribution centres - April 30, 2024

A new collective agreement was reached for approximately 6,000 employees of distribution centres of retail company Albert Heijn. The agreement has a term of one year. Wages will increase by 4% and an additional € 0.16 per hour. Agreements have also been made about the allowances. Those who only work on Saturdays (one-day part-timers) receive 35% on top of their salary. The allowance will increase for temporary workers, up to a maximum of 75%. In addition, measures to reduce work pressure will be introduced and the early retirement scheme will be continued until 31 December, 2025.
