A recent survey conducted by one of the unions revealed that 88% of workers reported vacancies in their departments, underscoring the severity of the staffing crisis. The unions emphasize the adverse impact on healthcare services due to the shortage of workers, which, they claim, puts patient care at risk. They are calling for immediate intervention by the government to address the pay and staffing issues that have been ongoing for years.
