On July 4, 2024, the ver.di union in Berlin and Brandenburg reached an agreement for retail employees. Overall, full-time sales staff in all collective bargaining areas will receive around € 400 more. This includes a 40% increase in the collectively agreed pension provision from € 300 to € 420 per year. Over the entire term of 3 years, the increase, including the improved collectively agreed pension provision, is around 14%. With the collective bargaining agreement in Berlin and Brandenburg, one of the longest and toughest collective bargaining rounds in retail has come to an end.
