On 23 October, the German government has now officially announced in the Federal Law Gazette that the requirements of the Directive are already fulfilled by existing laws such as the Minimum Wage Act or the Collective Bargaining Act and that, therefore, in its view, there is no need for further legal action to transpose the Directive into national law.
