This collective agreement comes into force on 1 July 2024 and, with a starting wage of € 16.51 per hour, significantly improves wages in the low-wage sector. With better time bonuses, vacation of up to 36 days for shift workers and a 37.5 hour week, the new collective agreement is intended to make work at airports more attractive. Ver.di had been working on enforcing this nationwide collective agreement since 2014.
