Only two countries currently meet minimum wage adequacy standards, defined by 60% of gross median wage and 50% of gross average wage. Additionally, only eight countries have achieved 80% collective bargaining coverage, while in-work poverty rates remain high in several states. Disparities in pay persist, with women, often in lower-paid jobs, still earning up to 21% less than men.
