Austria - Pay increase for postal workers - April 30, 2024

In the third round of negotiations, the postal union and postal management agreed on a new collective agreement for around 20,000 employees and trainees of the Austrian Post. From January 2025, salaries, allowances and teaching allowances will increase by 6.45%. Apprentices receive a bonus of € 70 every month from July to December to combat inflation. Trainees will earn at least € 1,000 gross per month from the first year of training. The fee for night services will increase by up to 20.45% from January 1, 2025. The Post Office's updated collective agreement comes into force on July 1st and has been concluded for a period of 12 months.
