Since last autumn, there have been a series of public transport strikes, because unions and employers could not reach an agreement over salaries, work contracts and employee workloads after the previous collective labour agreement expired on 31 December 2022. Seven months after the first strikes took place last September, trade unions have announced that a new agreement has finally been negotiated. If the members agree to the agreement, this means that the workload will b decreased and wages will rise by 15% over the next 27 months. In addition, there will be a one-off payment of € 1000. This agreement puts an end to months of protests by the drivers.
