In December 2021, a collective agreement was reached that will run until July 2024. But in view of the high inflation FNV Cleaners demanded an extra pay rise. It was agreed that cleaners will get an extra 12% pay rise. In the current collective agreement wages would only rise by 1.5% until July 2024. This year, cleaners will receive an additional increase of 3.5% in November. The wage increase that was only to take effect on 1 April 2024, will now take effect on 1 January 2024 and has been doubled to 3%.
