LIZDA organized a major protest march in the capital of Riga on 24 April and went on a three-day strike until 27 April. The government approved amendments suggested by the Ministry of Education and Science, allocating an additional amount towards the increase of teachers’ wages in order to satisfy demands of the teachers on strike.
