A 35-hour week with full wage compensation is being introduced for employees of the cooperative bank with the largest number of members in East Germany. The reduction in working hours from the current 39 weekly working hours to 35 hours will take place in 2 steps on 1 January 2024 and 1 January 2025. This corresponds to a wage increase of 11.4%. In addition, there will be a one-off payment of € 2,400 net in January 2024.
