The Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) and the Port Operators’ Association each approved the agreement, enabling the port workers to return to work. The breakthrough in the negotiations signals the end of a strike that had effectively suspended the loading and unloading of cargo ships at ports across Finland since 15 February.
