Although in the second quarter, average gross wages grew in all 19 monitored sectors of the economy, year-on-year, it was not possible to keep up with the current inflation in any of them. The average nominal monthly wage of an employee increased by 7.4% to € 1,291, year-on-year. However, the cost of living significantly exceeded the growth of nominal wages.
