In the run-up to the autumn wage round, the union vida is not only pushing for a gross minimum wage of €2,000 euros. It also wants to bring forward negotiations for hundreds of thousands of workers in the transport and service sectors, from railway workers to hairdressers. Actually, these would only begin in 2023, i.e. months after the trend-setting metal collective bargaining negotiations, which will start soon.
