The collective agreement started on 1 January 2023 and has a term of one year. From 2023, the monthly minimum gross salary for employed bicycle messengers will be € 1,730 for a 40-hour week. Around 4,500 bicycle messengers work in the sector throughout the country, 60% of them as freelancers. vida aims to combat bogus self-employment and to bring more bicycle messengers under the protective umbrella of the collective agreement.
