The 60\u002F40 job retention measure was introduced in March 2020 to soften the impact of the coronavirus crisis on employment. The state will continue to finance 60% of the job retention allowance and of the social insurance costs of employees remaining on the payroll during the Covid-19 crisis, while the employer will pay the remaining 40%.
