Under these new regulations employees will get 70% percent of their net salaries - if they do not exceed the national average wage - for hours not worked. Employers, for their part, will have to pay social security contributions on 70% of gross earnings, and health insurance on the basis of the entire current salary. Both trade unions and employers are against the proposals. The unions demand greater financial input from the state, and employers resist the idea of paying social security contributions for time not worked.

Read on: in English ...

For more information, please contact Paul de Beer or Oana Ciuca or Sjaak van der Velden, De Burcht (Scientific Bureau for the Dutch Trade Union Movement) p.t.debeer@uva.nl or the Head of communications at the ETUI, Mehmet Koksal mkoksal@etui.org.
For previous full issues of the Collective bargaining newsletter please visit www.etui.org/E-Newsletters/Collective-bargaining-newsletter or consult the archive with all articles in our database at www.cbnarchive.eu.
You may find further information on the ETUI at www.etui.org.
","light
Contact us
"/about/contact","follow","internal",24590,[],[],[],[],[],false,"/work/living-wages/contact-us","
Welcome to WageIndicator.
