The activity rate of the population aged 15 and over increased in the second quarter 2019 to 54.8%, where the activity rate of males was 62.9%, and of females 47.3%. In the 1st half of 2019, gross salaries and wages increased, compared to the same period in 2018, with 9.6% in nominal terms, i.e. 7.1% in real terms.
