Many workers of the shipbuilding company have been working without pay for eight months now and organised several strikes in demand of their wages (see our February 2019 newsletter). The trade union urges the government that is co-owner of the shipyard, to take accountability and come forward with a solution. It is still not clear if Uljanik will go bankrupt or will be saved.
