Part of\u003Cbr\u002F>the plans is to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights. Beyond that, the SVP wants to\u003Cbr\u002F>get rid of the ILO-Conventions that the country has ratified with the argument that only international\u003Cbr\u002F>conventions that are backed up by a popular referendum are acceptable. Trade union confederation has\u003Cbr\u002F>started to mobilise against the proposals. The union says that workers can derive several important rights\u003Cbr\u002F>from the ratified conventions: the right to be organised, the right to collective bargaining, equal treatment at\u003Cbr\u002F>the workplace and other fundamental rights.
